UGM saves many lives, but sometimes addiction claims a life. We grieve when that happens. Last week one of our guests lost his life to overdose, and Dan, New Life Fellowship Program Manager at our Men’s Mission, shared a few thoughts we’d like to pass along to you:
“The work we do in addiction recovery is truly a matter of life and death for many. I don’t speak only of physical death, but of spiritual life and death also…Eternal life with Christ is the best gift we can show our clients.
“Ministry is difficult at times and is only compounded when ministering to the addicted. In these tragedies, it’s important to remember that we must not lose hope. Regardless of how things may seem at the time, I do know this. God is in control and God is always good.”
Your support empowers many men and women to break free from homelessness and addiction through the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. Thank you for giving hope – for partnering with us in saving lives.
