Outreach Ministry

Search & Rescue is an outreach ministry, embodying the idea that we can’t wait for our unsheltered neighbors to come to us; we must go to them.

Offering aid and support to men, women, and children residing in homeless camps throughout Marion and Polk counties, our team operates out of a mobile van. Essential items, a loving ear, and invitations back to the Mission for meals, shelter, and services are extended.

Our small team has years of experience working with the homeless population and desires to create loving, supportive relationships with our neighbors in need.

This last year hundreds of unsheltered people were reached through UGM’s Search and Rescue.
