A note from Sarah, Simonka Place for Women & Children’s Learning Center Administrator

As the Learning Center Administrator at Simonka Place, I help women every day to gain skills for ongoing success after graduating the New Life Fellowship program. Part of the NLF program is taking classes in our Learning Centers. These include life skills, writing, math and technology. We provide a full GED program for our clients that covers tutoring, study materials, test costs and a testing center.

Finally, we work with clients as they look for jobs and housing. I encourage the women here to become lifelong learners, equipping them not only with an education, but with a desire to continually seek knowledge about Christ to strengthen their walk with Him.

Many clients decide to go back to school after rediscovering a love for learning or a new passion they want to pursue. Others step into classes with no computer experience or a low reading level and finish with the knowledge, confidence and skills needed for many careers.

Our guests are extremely appreciative of everything you do to support UGM, as every little thing makes a difference.

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God…
—Colossians 1:9-10
