The extra gift could save a life: a holiday dinner for a hungry neighbor, safe shelter and refuge from domestic violence, a new coat for a homeless child.
And that’s where #GivingTuesday comes in.
#GivingTuesday is a global holiday celebrating generosity and kindness by giving to nonprofits all around the world.
This year we’re inviting you to join the movement, and the good news is that if you donate once, you’ll give twice!
Here are a few small steps that will make a world of difference:
Join the movement. Like and share UGM of Salem’s #GivingTuesday posts on Facebook and Instagram to spread the word! Shop with a mission at the Mission Store, where every purchase benefits homeless men, women and children.
Go local. If you do your holiday shopping on Amazon, be sure to check out www.smile.amazon.com and choose “Union Gospel Mission of Salem” as your charity. Amazon will donate to us every time you shop!
Give hope. Every dollar donated toward our #GivingTuesday campaign now through November 29th will be matched by Sure Clean Northwest, up to $1,000! That’s double the meals and care.
