Become a part of the life-changing ministry at Union Gospel Mission. Volunteers make a difference!

At Union Gospel Mission of Salem, our mission is to:
Help men, women and children break free from homelessness through the transforming grace of Jesus Christ.
We are looking for volunteers to partner with us to achieve this mission.

Volunteers are considered for roles according to need, availability, gifting, faith, gender and age. Our goal is to best match volunteers with the opportunities available and to meet needs of the guests and clients we serve. As a relational ministry, we ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of six months of service.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of applications.
We appreciate your patience as it may take longer to receive a response from us.

Please read our Statement of Faith before completing a volunteer application.

• We believe the Bible to be inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.
• We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father; Son; and Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
• We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
• We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
• We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ
