Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
You were witness to, as an attendee of Walk for Hope, our historic ribbon cutting ceremony, as Union Gospel Mission of Salem prepared to officially open the new Men’s Mission at 777 Commercial Street.
This day, which is one that has long been in the making, will be marked for years to come as the moment our community took another step toward rewriting stories of defeat to stories of triumph, forever changing the face of homelessness
Changing the face of homelessness...
one story at a time.
Walk for Hope FAQs
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! As long as your furry friend is leashed and friendly toward others, they are welcome to join.
Can I ride my bike on the course instead of walking or running?
Currently, our route is not set up for biking, but that is a consideration for the future!
Is this event timed?
Typically yes. This year however, we will not have a timed event. You are welcome to time yourself though!
Do I need to wear a face mask?
UGM follows all CDC and State of Oregon mandates for Covid-19 safety. We will continue to stay up to date as the event draws near. We ask that you remain flexible and willing to follow guidelines while you’re at UGM events.
Can I register now and pay later?
Unfortunately, no. Our system is not set up to take “IOU’s.” If you’re currently unable to make payment and are wanting to sign up, please contact Hannah at email@example.com.
What do I get with my registration fee?
We’re so glad you asked! Each registrant gets a free goody bag with UGM swag, local coupons, giveaways from sponsors, a snazzy T-shirt, and more. You will also get to join us for lunch and the historic Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our new Men’s Mission!
