In early April UGM was approved for a generous grant from the Walmart Foundation for a food truck!
The meal program is the primary way we create that vital first connection. Providing regular, nutritious meals means we are able to build trust and offer much-needed sustenance so that our hungry guests can begin to make the life changes that allow them to leave homelessness permanently.
Since summer is nearly at our doorstep, this was a timely blessing. A refrigerated food truck will allow UGM to travel farther for donations without worrying about food spoilage.
Now our hurting neighbors can meet their immediate needs, and begin to build the connections that allow them to restore their lives.
Thanks again to the Walmart Foundation, and all of our community partners, for providing hope for the homeless.
